DJI // PROTECTING KENYA’S ELEPHANTS FROM ABOVE

With more areas around the globe being used for agriculture and development, elephants are increasingly at risk from poachers and other human encounters. At Kenya’s Mara Elephant Project, staff are turning to drones as a vital tool for managing these extraordinary animals. JMW shot on location in the Mara Desert, Kenya, as well as edited and color graded.

BRETT WILLIAMS // ARTIST

Brett Williams makes furniture out of his Philadelphia apartment. But this isn't just furniture you use, it's a work of art. Working with a new tool—a RED Gemini—I wanted to work on a project where I could control the image, choosing everything from interview locations, lighting setups and color grading.

HEART FOR THE NATIONS // PROJECT HAITI

The issue of clean water is a familiar theme for many third world countries, and Haiti, being the poorest in the northwestern hemisphere, is no exception. Heart for the Nations needed a video to help launch their water filter project in Haiti, one that provided awareness about the problem and a way for viewers to donate.

RATP DEV // LET'S CONNECT

When a global company has a story to tell, they often look to their employees and clients for firsthand experiences. What RATP Dev didn't know when they started this project was how far and deep the passion ran with both their operators and passengers. This film is a look at the everyday person who rides with RATP Dev from Bloomington to Daytona Beach to Austin.

THE NEW SCHOOL // JAZZ HOUSE

Jazz House takes on contemporary jazz and infuses it with house music, so naturally we get “Jazz House.” The approach to this shoot was unique in the way the performers wanted to preserve the live feel, but also have multiple angles.

AIA PENNSYLVANIA // PSFS

The American Institute of Architects of Pennsylvania awards special recognition each year to a specific building within the state. This year, the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society building in Philadelphia was chosen. And rightfully so! This marvel of a building was at the forefront of “international style,” the first of its kind in North America.

DJI // INSPIRING GIRLS TO PURSUE STEM

Around the world, schools are putting an increasing emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math. DJI is helping contribute to the development of STEM with partners. This past summer, a group of young women got the chance to learn about STEM subjects with the Tello drone from Ryze, and the Spark from DJI.

UPM // THE PATH

Big pharma isn't always big. Sometimes they start out small as a research program in a university, only to find that they've grown just big enough to move out on their own. UPM Pharmaceuticals found their new home in Bristol, Tennessee, and this film shows how they handle new, lifesaving drugs from concept to production.
